We can all be wishful thinkers and hope to see the Zeppelin gang minus about one and a half at this years Roo. Led Zeppelin has announced that they will be touring for the first time since the band broke up. Unfortunately when things sound too good to be true they usually are. John Paul Jones has made some public statements about the tour without front man heavy hitter Robert Plant. Also, since for obvious reasons John Bonhom will not be able to take the stage he will be replaced by his son, Jason who has certainly taken to his fathers craft well touring as a drummer with bands like Foreigner.So what about Bonnaroo 2009? Well.. 2 out of 4 original members isn't bad especially since one will be replaced by his son. But what good is a rock band without their front man?!?! Robert Plant is no stranger to Bonnaroo as he played with Allison Krauss just last year.. Maybe Led Zeppelin will show up and Robert Plant will just happen to be there with Allison Krauss and we'll see history made before our eyes when he just can't help but to take the stage and Rock n' Roll one more time..
